It’s called Little Monsters and is an innovative foray into social media for the music industry. Gaga’s manager developed the platform and hopes to roll it own to other clients. It looks like Pinterest and has the popularity-vote feel of Reddit. Given that Gaga has the most Twitter followers in the world, we can expect a huge amount of interest from her Little Monsters.
It will be interesting to see the platform develop as user numbers grow. I can see it working well for Gaga but think that it would be overwhelming if every band you liked had their own network. Where other platforms like Facebook & Twitter aggregate this information, this platform would separate them out - I can’t see consumers signing into a bunch of different accounts all the time, or sharing content there if it isn’t easy to do so across multiple networks.
What do you think?
