ISH knows…PLANKING IS THE SHIT!!! Hahaha!  I had seen it done & heard it about it in Europe.  One of the most notable ones was famous DJ/Producer extraordinaires Steve Aoki and DeadMau5 planking in Ibiza in a parking lot:

Apparently the craze has now crossed the Atlantic and hit the states.  Some famous names, such as Dwight Howard, have given in to the movement and started doing it themselves (peep the pics below).

What exactly is planking?  It’s pretty simple.  You lie face down expressionless, straighten your arms and legs, and point your fingers and toes.  And, if you’re serious about it, you need to get creative, take a pic, name your plank, & post it on Facebook.  Here’s a great vid explaining it all in a short, cohesive manner. 

However, some are deeming this craze racist in its roots saying it stems from slavery where slaves were forced to lie face down, tied side to side, with their wrists chained (story here).  I see some correlation here, but, it’s a bit of a stretch.

No one’s doing anything cruel or disrespectful with this one.  There has been a death reported in Australia.  Also, as seen in the video link above, a man was arrested for planking on a police car LOL.  But, if you use common sense, you’ll be fine.  It’s good, clean, odd fun.  I’m def looking forward to getting creative & posting some of my planking pics up ASAP lol.
