Nervo (@NervoMusic) x Afrojack x Steve Aoki - “We’re All No One” (Nervo Goes To Paris Remix)
ISH KNOWS…I was already a huge of this track; have it on repeat. This remix is def sick & going into the playlist immediately.
NEW MUSIC VID: Kid Cudi - “Just What I Am” ft. King Chip
Swank. Guest appearances in the vid by Mac Miller, Steve Aoki, and others. Be on the lookout for Cudi’s new album ‘indicud’ out in the first quarter of 2013.
Kaskade vs. Steve Aoki & Tommy Trash - Be Still Ladi Dadi (Kaskade’s Freaks Of Nature Mash Up)
ISH KNOWS…Fuuuuuuck!!! I have goosebumps listening to this. Took me back to that last weekend in July when I experienced the ‘Freaks of Nature’ Tour. Arguably one of my fave live experiences. And, this mash up is fuckin’ EPIC.
ARTISTS TO WATCH: NERVO
I’ve known about these girls for a while given they’ve made their stamp on the Pop and Electro scene. They’ve worked with the likes of Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and Nicky Romero. They have penned hits for Ke$ha and Kylie Minogue along with co-writing the GRAMMY winning “When Love Takes Over” with David Guetta. They’ve also remixed countless of the biggest hits in the game. All the while, they’ve actually been touring all over the world DJn on the biggest stages like EDC, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and ULTRA. Point being is these girls are on the map.
I always respected their talent. They’ve slowly but surely grown on me, but, for whatever reason, I was never fully hooked. Well, talk about random; I was watching the local news Fox 11 (Los Angeles) tonight where they did a great piece on NERVO. I say random b/c I NEVER watch TV (aside from sports) and seeing a segment on an electro act on local TV News seems so fuckin’ random lol. Point being, the 2 beautiful sisters really piqued my interest with their sincere love and respect for the craft of DJn and songwriting. This led me to start listening to more of their catalogue. And, I’ve got to say I’m lowkey hooked and will be following them more closely now.
You’ll notice that some tracks are more influenced by their pop background. Then, you’ll have some that are more electro house along with some trancey tracks such as “Something to Believe In.” The one thing that’s strong throughout the tracks is their penmanship. The girls definitely bring it with the lyrics and catchy hooks given their strong songwriting background. Here are some tracks I recommend from the lovely Australian duo:
Tomorrowland 2012 | official aftermovie
WOW. The power of music. I have to live this festival b4 I die.
Iggy Azalea performs Beat Down at Radio 1 Live in Ibiza 2012
ISH KNOWS…I fux hard w/ Iggy’s swag. She’s def got a nice lil stage presence. And, her sex appeal is bananas! Dope track produced by Steve Aoki.
Boom! Here you go…the sets have been pretty sick nasty thus far.
